June 2025 — Present
The Western African Regional Digital Integration Program (WARDIP) Phase 2 expands digital connectivity to Sierra Leone. The Nexus (SL) is supporting the Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation (MOCTI) to establish a second submarine cable landing station, strengthening international connectivity, improving competition, and ensuring redundancy for the nation's digital future.
June 2025
Commissioned by ActionAid Sierra Leone and funded by the European Union, this endline evaluation assessed the effectiveness of a 2.5-year project enhancing CSO participation in governance across Bo, Bombali, and Kono districts. The Nexus (SL) conducted comprehensive data collection, bivariate and multivariate analysis, and qualitative validation to establish end-of-programme targets and capture key lessons for future programming.
September 2025
Comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment combined with routine monitoring of air quality, noise levels, and soil sampling for a major agricultural operation. Field data compared against Sierra Leone EPA regulatory limits and World Bank ESS1/ESS3 requirements, with stakeholder engagement consistent with ESS10 principles. Monitoring tracked PM10, PM2.5, nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, and noise levels against IFC EHS Guidelines.
May 2025
Preliminary geotechnical investigation for a private construction project in Bo, Southern Province. The Nexus (SL) conducted field sampling through soil surface drilling, followed by comprehensive laboratory analyses assessing physical and engineering characteristics including composition, moisture content, bulk density, texture, specific gravity, and Atterberg limits to inform foundation design and mitigate construction risks.
November 2025
Funded by the Embassy of Ireland in Sierra Leone, this evaluation assessed a project promoting social accountability and climate governance in Tonkolili and Kailahun Districts. The NEXUS (SL) conducted a comprehensive evaluation of project performance, results, and sustainability, examining improvements in CSO capacity, advocacy effectiveness, and local government accountability on climate and social issues.
